Experiment

Hi YW! This is a test. Becca, Bea, Emily & Cameron were invited to post quotes from an article they read last Sunday.  Rebecca said she couldn't get on.  Can you? Can EVERYONE put something on here, to see if it works? Please post a comment about something you've gained from the marriage & family focus of Aug. Love you!

Temples are a beacon!

In the Primary song "I love to see the temple" we sing, "I'm going there someday to feel the Holy Spirit, to listen and to pray." Our next youth temple trip is Aug. 23, but that doesn't have to be YOUR next trip to the House of The Lord. Watch this & note the obstacles this family overcame to go to the temple. Then consider what might be standing in your way from more frequent temple attendance.  The blessings of peace, clarity, spiritual strength & service to deceased ancestors await!

Sunday Lesson Commitment reminder and more!

Today's lesson was so great because of your willingness to follow the Spirit and speak by it! Thank you for edifying my day!

Our commitment to work on this week is to begin our 20 minute scripture study with a prayer, inviting the Holy Ghost to be a part of our study, as well as the entire day. Inviting makes a big difference, just try and see!

Also, here is the link to the sweet backgrounds you can put on your phone, ipod, ipad, computer, whatever you look at the most during the day (mirror... ;)  The best backgrounds EVER

AND here's some more reading/other great links to make your days brighter and invite the Spirit even more into your life:

Book of Mormon Marathon!!!

Are you ready?!! Come in comfy clothes and try to arrive a little before 6am so we can get right into reading!  Bring a blanket, comfy pillow, bean bag, whatever will keep you going for 15 1/2 hours. :)

Completing the Virtue value project is part of our purpose:

The Savior chose to live a virtuous life. Follow His admonition to “learn of me” (D&C 19:23) by reading the entire Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Liken the scriptures to your life and circumstances. As you read, record your thoughts regularly in your journal. Note the example of the Savior. What did He and those who followed Him do to live virtuous lives? At the completion of your reading, record your testimony.
We will have people come in to read to you, you will have time to read independently, and lots of treats along the way!

We won't be able to make it through the entire Book of Mormon, so to complete your Virtue value project, you can start reading 4 Nephi to the end this week, and then not have a lot to read after we are done on Saturday.

Here are some recorded experiences from marathons to get you more motivated :)

Side Note:
I think this would be fun to do with your Book of Mormon after you read it all the way through after this activity so you always know which one it is! http://www.craftaholicsanonymous.net/scripture-cover-tutorial
